  1. SANS SERIF FONTS

  3. The following fonts are SIMILAR to each other, but not identical enough to
  4. warrant deleting one over the other.  The similarities are subtle, but in many
  5. cases, the difference in size at the same pointsize level is the reason for my
  6. having kept them.

  8.     Revue & Roost Heavy       Roostheavy is a slight bit bolder than Revue.

  10.     Upsilon & Chitown         Upsilon is a bolder version.  There are two
  11.                               Chitowns, and one is smaller than the other.
  12.                               Upsilon is the same size as the larger Chitown
  13.                               and Chitown has a more complete character set.
  14.  
  15.     Paris & UpperEastSide     Paris is a smaller font and has a more complete
  16.                               character set.
  17.  
  18.     Vagrounded & Univers      Vagrounded is slightly narrower and this copy
  19.                               is missing the "G".

  24. Other Sans Serif fonts may also be nearly identical, but there are so many of
  25. them out there in different weights and widths, yet of the same basic style,
  26. that is difficult to sort them out.  The above fonts are just "slightly out
  27. of the ordinary" as far as sans serif goes, and in most cases are more suitable
  28. for headlines than for body text.  Because they differ from the usual body text,
  29. they  were more easily noticed to have a similar, yet different, counterpart.

  31. Experiment with the ones you find - there is quite likely one that will fit
  32. precisely, size-wise, with the project at hand.
